Looking for convenient and effective sheep parasite control?

We travel throughout England and Wales helping to keep sheep free of scab and other ecto-parasites. With over 11 years of experience our aim is to make sheep dipping hassle-free and accessible to all farmers. We ensure the sheep are dipped correctly and efficiently as well as assisting the farmer in their parasite control plans.

Benefits of Sheep Dipping

Dipping is the only way to ensure complete and targeted control of scab, blowfly, keds, lice and ticks in one treatment. However, many farmers aren’t registered to dip, which is where we come in.

Dipping gives immediate scab and ecto-parasite control, dipping for scab helps to prevent the over-use of type 3 (3-ML) wormers, which could lead to resistance. We use the Bimeda’s Gold Fleece, which has a short 49 day meat withdrawal.

HEALTH & SAFETY

Personal protective equipment (PPE) is always used whilst the dipping crate is being operated.

BIOSECURITY

Dipping plays an important role in controlling sheep scab, which has become a thorny issue in the industry.

LABOUR

The crate dips in excess of 350 sheep/hour, which is more than double the rate of a standard mobile dipping trailer.

PROFITABILITY

The sheep are considered to be healthier and this could add another 2-3% on the lambing percentage.

Why Choose us?

We use a state of the art hydraulic cage dipper which is capable of dipping 2500+ sheep a day, that is more than twice as efficient as standard mobile dipping trailers. It makes the process more efficient, less stressful and is much safer for the sheep and workers.

We are fully licensed and are able to remove all waste dip if required. We use Bimeda’s Gold Fleece OP dip, which has a short 49 day meat withdrawal.

The Process

Up to 12 adult sheep at a time move through pens, up a ramp and onto the 13 tonne mobile dipper. They enter a cage and are lowered with remote hydraulics. The sheep are fully submerged into the 3000 litre tank 2-3 times before being moved into the draining area. They are left to dry before exiting from the ramp at the front of the lorry.
